"Cooperation and collaboration are going to be the watchwords for 2023"

Imagine Communications is celebrating the 2023 NAB Show Centennial with a new location in the convention’s cutting-edge West Hall (April 16-19, Las Vegas Convention Center, booth W2775) and demonstrations of its latest technology innovations, business-driving thought leadership and strong industry partnerships across the show floor.

The West Hall will play host to a who’s who of the future of media tech, but every visitor to the Imagine booth will find a solution that aligns with their organization’s unique near-term requirements — no matter where they are on the technology adoption curve. Imagine’s comprehensive, field-proven portfolio enables customers to flexibly mix best-in-class SDI and ST 2110 on-prem solutions, benefit from IP connectivity and hybrid models where it makes sense, and migrate to the cloud at a pace that is right for their business.

“As the industry faces an uncertain economy coupled with multiple, simultaneous technology transitions, there has never been a better time to partner with Imagine,” says Steve Reynolds, president of Imagine Communications. “Our products and services enable customers to achieve their current business goals — whether they need to cut costs or increase revenue — and move from where they are today into a future that leverages existing investment rather than starting over in order to change and thrive.

“At NAB, our key focus will be on engaging with customers to explore solutions and strategies that enable them to personalize the path and pace of their transitions to more responsive, flexible architectures and business models.”

Imagine is demonstrating the latest innovations in its comprehensive portfolio at the 2023 NAB Show:

Infrastructure

NAB attendees looking for modern video processing and routing systems that can efficiently span from SDI to IP, HD to UHD, SDR to HDR or on-prem to cloud should visit the Imagine booth for hands-on demonstrations of the award-winning Selenio™ Network Processor (SNP), including the HDR-capable SNP production multiviewer personality. The latest SNP release features JPEG XS support, enabling high-quality, low-latency connectivity for remote production workflows and ground-to-cloud links. The industry-acclaimed 1RU SNP pairs with Imagine’s Magellan™ Control System in a winning combination that can support customers navigating any technology transition — including providing an on-ramp to the cloud.

Playout

For those headed to NAB to explore the latest playout innovations, Imagine offers industry-proven channel origination technology to meet every business requirement from on-prem solutions that support premium, “high-touch” channels to cloud-native technology ideally suited to disaster recovery, spin-up of emerging services such as pop-up or FAST channels, and 24/7 operations. Live demonstrations will be available of Imagine Aviator™ — the first truly cloud-native platform that enables media companies to plan, make and monetize premium-quality, ad-supported linear and connected TV (CTV) content from a single, unified solution — on the Imagine booth, in the AWS Partner Village (W2051L AWS), and as part of an end-to-end workflow on the AWS booth (W1701).

Imagine pushes playout innovation even further with upcoming announcements in the orchestration and automation of hybrid on-prem/cloud playout installations and the availability of an industry-leading migration path for Versio™ and Nexio® playout customers considering hybrid cloud solutions.

Ad Tech

Imagine offers a unique portfolio of monetization tools that enable media companies to extract maximum revenue potential from their media assets, accelerate the growth of cross-screen trading and migrate in an evolutionary fashion from spot-based to dynamic trading. Must-see demonstrations at NAB include GamePlan™, Imagine’s award-winning dynamic ad placement engine and yield optimizer for linear TV; and  the recently launched SureFire™ video ad server, which provides linear-like control and brand protection on ad-based CTV and AVOD streaming services, enabling media companies to sell and fulfill campaigns across their entire audience and deliver a consistent, quality experience for both viewers and advertisers (W2051L AWS).

Cooperation and collaboration are going to be the watchwords for 2023, and Imagine is a company that embraces partnership,” adds Reynolds. “We build open, standards-based systems and work with the right partners around the industry to enable best-of-breed systems that benefit our customers, who are making important decisions about where their business is heading over the next few years.”

At the 2023 NAB Show, Imagine partners include AWS, Telestream, intoPIX, Vizrt and Panasonic. Imagine will roll out a series of announcements on new technology innovations and partner integrations in the weeks leading up to the show.
