Ingest Solution for Increased Efficiency and Resource Utilitization

Versio™ Ingest Scheduler is an integrated ingest control application in the Versio™ modular ecosystem for scheduled recordings and crash records. It is designed to optimize resources by controlling pools of recording ports in Nexio SDI and Versio™ Ingest 2110 servers.

Versio™ Ingest provides a unified operational experience for the capture of baseband and IP streams, making an intelligent assignment of free ports based on the recording jobs planned and the selected video source to write content into the media storage.

Concept of a digital newsfeed, lots of different data and stories
  • Prioritize jobs: Set up priorities for your bookings or crash records; drop the lowest priority recording or redundant copy in order to accommodate the request for the higher priority
  • Never miss important recordings: Priority-based bookings allow for scheduling or emergency manual records even when the system is 100% utilized
  • Preview while recording on a web user interface, using a live growing proxy
  • Transfer while recording: Submit files to multiple destinations while still growing.
  • Transcode while recording, integrating with Imagine’s file transcoder (SelenioFlex File)
  • Intelligent port assignment: Automatically deconflicts and ripples ingest schedules as necessary to accomplish booking tasks
  • Protect your ingest workflows with multiple levels of redundancy and high availability, even in degraded-system states
  • Prepare metadata: Enter during ingest all the metadata that might be required during playout
  • Define pools of record ports
    • Based on format: SDI ports, IP uncompressed (ST-2110)
    • Based con modes: for crash records, for scheduled recordings, for secondary events
  • Central scheduling chart
  • Bookings with priorities
  • Manual editing: manually add, amend, and delete bookings
  • Repetitive recordings
  • Crash records
  • Import scheduling data from any Traffic, or from other third-party systems
  • Open ended recordings
  • Recordings going over midnight
  • Manage the different redundancy levels:
    • Redundant storage target locations
    • Redundant recorder ports
    • Redundant copies in high resolution
    • Rather than fixed channels, Versio Ingest distributes record bookings across available channels of all servers, making sure that main and redundant records are never on the same server
  • Monitoring, be informed of record clashes
  • Horizontal and dashboard views
  • Selection of video codec format: XDCAM, XAVC/AVC, DNxHD/HR, etc.
  • Easy TC selection, either zero-based or TOD-based (time of day)
  • Upstream router control
