ITP Publishing Selects Harris Broadcast CEO for “Industry Achievement Award”

Charlie Vogt honored with special recognition at 10th Anniversary Digital Studio Awards

Harris Broadcast, a market share leader of content management and networking solutions serving the global broadcast, communications service provider, government and enterprise markets, today announced that President and CEO Charlie Vogt has been recognized with the “Industry Achievement Award” by ITP Publishing Group at the 10th Anniversary Digital Studio Awards in Dubai. The award, which recognizes outstanding leadership in the communications technology industry, is a new category, and this is the first time it has been presented.

The award was presented by Roger Field, editor of Digital Production Middle East. The Digital Studio Awards, hosted by the ITP Publishing Group, publisher of Digital Production Middle East, were presented at The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi, Serdaal Ballroom, during the CABSAT 2014 international conference of content management professionals.

The Industry Achievement Award recipient was decided based on industry research by ITP Publishing to identify “one person who has made a particularly strong impression in TV or film production or post production in the past year,” and took into account “various criteria, including originality of ideas and technical innovation.”

Mr. Vogt has received numerous awards and recognitions for his leadership and corporate accomplishments including Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year, Dallas Metroplex Technology Business Council’s Corporate CEO of the Year, Global Telecom Business’ Power 100, and CEO of The Wall Street Journal’s no. 1 ranked venture-backed company in the US.

Vogt is on the Board of Directors of the International Association of Broadcast Manufacturers and is an active member of the Telecommunications Industry Association and the Federal Communications Commission Advisory Council, an entity that advises the FCC Chairman on matters of technology evolution and security that relate to the nation’s telecommunications and broadcasting infrastructure of the United States.
