Harris Broadcast today opens a new demonstration and training academy in the Middle East as an extension to its existing Middle East and South Asia regional headquarters in Dubai Media City, United Arab Emirates. The academy will offer specialist courses for engineers and operators, and each course will come with a full certification pack.

The Academy, which includes a completely integrated demo room and a fully equipped training center, has been developed so that Harris Broadcast customers can experience the latest broadcast tools and technologies. It provides the venue for comprehensive product and solution presentations, as well as hosting training sessions for customers in the Middle East and beyond.

“Broadcasters and production facilities turn to Harris Broadcast to provide a complete solution, embracing technology, training and support,” said Richard Scott, senior vice president, global sales and services at Harris Broadcast. “Expanding our presence with this facility enables us to develop even closer relationships with our customers as well as their engineering and operational teams, so that we continue to deliver the best-in-class solutions to meet their business needs.”

The demo facility will allow customers, systems integrators and resellers to familiarize themselves with Harris Broadcast’s solutions and to gain hands on experience of the technical and operational efficiencies being considered in a tender process. Additionally staff can be brought up to speed quickly with any newly introduced point products and how these integrate into specific workflows ahead of their own installation being completed.

Scott continues, “Our new facility in Dubai – a very accessible hub – means we can meet these expectations and continue to work closely with the leading media and entertainment businesses across the region.”
