
Tom Cotney

Tom Cotney is Chief Executive Officer of Imagine Communications, a global leader in multiscreen video and ad management solutions that broadcasters, networks, video service providers and enterprises around the world rely on to support their mission-critical operations.
Tom has spent more than two decades of his 30-year career partnering with, selling to and competing in the telecommunications and mobile technology industries. His impressive resume includes serving as General Manager of the Communications Sector at IBM Global Services, where he was responsible for nearly 8,500 employees and more than $1.5 billion in annual revenue. He has served twice as Chairman of the annual IBM Employee Charitable Campaign for the United Way, raising more than $3.5 million for their various causes.
Before joining Imagine, Tom was CEO at cloud-based mobile messaging provider Mblox. Through a series of M&A transactions and operational consolidations, Tom was instrumental in restoring the company’s brand and profitability, and by 2015, it was ranked number two in the world. Mblox was acquired the following year by the number one-ranked company in the space, Stockholm-based CLX Communications.
Prior to his tenure with Mblox, Tom served as CEO and board member for a number of privately held companies, including Air2Web, a company founded in the Atlanta Technology Development Center by the Carlyle Group. There, Tom delivered a 100% return on equity invested by Carlyle after three years of operation in a sale to a buyer from the European Union in 2011.
Tom graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia, and has completed executive programs in Strategic Execution and Negotiation at the Harvard Business and Law schools respectively.

Steve Reynolds

Steve Reynolds is President of Imagine Communications, a global leader in multiscreen video and ad management solutions that broadcasters, networks, video service providers and enterprises around the world rely on to support their mission-critical operations.
Steve brings more than 25 years of technology leadership in the cable industry to Imagine Communications. At Comcast, he served as Senior Vice President of Premises Technology, overseeing the strategy, roadmap and development of all technologies employed in service delivery to the customer premises. Prior to Comcast, Steve was Senior Vice President of Technology at OpenTV Incorporated, a world leader in digital and interactive television technology.
His cable industry experience also includes executive positions at ACTV Incorporated and Intellocity USA. Steve was a member of the technical team at TV Guide, leading development of the industry’s first interactive program guide for digital cable set-tops.
Steve earned a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from Widener University. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from West Chester University. Steve is a member of the SCTE and has participated in numerous standards-making bodies in the cable and digital video industries. He holds over two dozen patents relating to digital video, interactive television and digital devices.

Glodina Connan-Lostanlen

Dr. Glodina Connan-Lostanlen is Chief Sales Officer, Imagine Communications, leading global sales initiatives and customer engagement across the Imagine portfolio.
During her 18-year tenure with the company, Glodina has held a variety of senior executive roles in Global Sales, Strategy, and Marketing and was recently Chief Operating Office of the Playout and Networking portfolio.
Glodina obtained a European PhD in Signal Processing and Telecommunications with Honors from Rennes University I, France, in collaboration with University College London and the Institute of Oceanography of Hamburg, Germany. She received an MBA from the University of Toronto Rotman School of Management in 2015 and is a Dean's List and Bregman Scholar honoree.
Prior to her PhD studies, Glodina earned a Master of Sciences in Microwave and Opto-Electronics with Distinction from University College London, UK, and a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with Honors from the National Institute for Applied Sciences of Rennes, France.

Robert (Bob) Divers
Chief Technology Officer

Bob Divers is Chief Technology Officer, Imagine Communications, providing the vision and leadership to drive the business’s long-term technology strategy, operations, and product development.
Bob brings to the role a proven track record of rapidly scaling IT capability for large companies ― a critical ingredient in Imagine’s mission to enable its core products to run in the cloud as a turnkey managed service.
In a career spanning more than three decades, Bob held multiple executive positions with IBM Corporation, delivering a broad range of IT services to clients across a variety of industries. His extensive knowledge of IT processes and experience in customer relationship management enabled him to support accounts as diverse as Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and Qwest Communications in providing world-class services.
Bob received a bachelor’s degree in Mathematical Sciences from Johns Hopkins University and an MBA in MIS and Finance from Pace University.

Rob Malcolm
Chief Product Officer

Rob Malcolm is Chief Product Officer, Imagine Communications. In this role, Rob oversees the strategic direction of the company’s market-leading Playout and Ad Tech solution portfolios.
Before joining Imagine, Rob held the CMO/VP Marketing position at CLX Communications AB, a publicly listed Software/SaaS provider. At CLX, he was responsible for Global Marketing and Inside Sales for both their Operator and Enterprise Divisions.
Before CLX, Rob was a long-time executive and the Product Line Manager for the core offering at Mblox Inc., the mobile messaging business that CLX acquired for $114M in 2016.
Rob holds a BSc Engineering (Electronics) from the University of KwaZulu Natal in South Africa.

David Villano

David Villano is Executive Advisor, Imagine Communications, focused on strategic projects that will help the company reach its growth goals.
David brings to the role more than 25 years of experience in media and technology and is widely respected as a thought leader in the video advertising space. Before joining Imagine, he was Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Magnetic, an artificial intelligence company that uses machine learning to deliver smarter, faster, and more effective advertising.
Prior to that, David was CTO at Operative Media Inc., where he was responsible for the development of a multitenant SAAS ad management platform hosting over 300 clients and managing over $9B in client revenue. He joined Operative Media after a 14-year tenure at Cablevision, where he was credited for establishing many of Cablevision’s core technology standards, processes and methodologies.

Mathias Eckert
SVP & GM EMEA/APAC

Mathias Eckert is SVP & GM EMEA/APAC, Imagine Communications. Mathias leads the business’s sales and operations activity across this region.
Mathias joined Imagine Communications (then Harris) 11 years ago, bringing a wealth of industry expertise and a strong international reputation. Before joining the company, he was general manager for Northern and Central Europe at Avid Technology GmbH. Prior to this, he managed the EMEA business for newsroom vendor iNEWS, and held senior positions in sales and key account management at Sony Deutschland GmbH.
Mathias has a Diplom-Ingenieur (equivalent to Master of Science) in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Software Engineering from the Hochschule in Wiesbaden, Germany. His first role in the industry was in the semiconductor world where he began as a program manager.

Chris Sjerven
General Manager, Networking

Chris Sjerven is the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Imagine's Networking portfolio. Bringing 20 years of experience in global Manufacturing and Supply Chain experience, Chris is responsible for worldwide manufacturing operations, supply chain, and manufacturing quality.
Prior to Imagine, Chris held customer-facing Supply Chain roles at Flextronics, a $28 billion contract manufacturer, and with other companies across a wide range of industries including Data Storage, Power Management and Semiconductor Capital Equipment. Through progressively responsible positions, Chris gained extensive experience in outsourcing, insourcing, vertical integration, lean manufacturing and factory optimization. Chris has helped set up factory operations in several emerging markets, including China, Mexico and Brazil.
Chris has a degree in Industrial and Production Operations Management from Colorado State University. Through his career, he has held several industry certifications in Operations Management.

Mark Herold

Mark Herold is Vice President of Human Resources at Imagine Communications, responsible for coaching employees, elevating leadership and cultivating a high-performance culture.
Mark brings to the role a two-decade career focused on maximizing the potential of people to drive shareholder value. A veteran of M&A transaction, Mark has led due diligence work-streams involving all facets of Human Resources. In the past 15 years, he has held Human Resource leadership roles in the financial services and technology industries with companies such as Invesco, Cypress Communications, EasyLink Services and Mblox.
Mark holds a degree in Business and Economics from St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota, and a Master of Business Administration, concentrating in Industrial Relations, from the University of Minnesota.

Harold (Hal) Covert

Hal Covert is the Chief Financial Officer for Imagine Communications, responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the company’s financial operations and business planning.
Hal has spent the majority of his career as the Chief Financial Officer and Board member of leading technology companies in Silicon Valley. As CFO, he has served at public companies with annual revenue ranging from $200 million to $2 billion, including Harmonic Inc., Lumos Networks Inc., Silicon Image Inc., Openwave Systems Inc., Extreme Networks Inc., Silicon Graphics Inc., Adobe Systems Inc., and ISC Systems Inc.
Hal’s experience as a Board member includes the following public companies with annual revenue ranging from $100 million to $2 billion: Lumentum Holdings Inc., JDS Uniphase Corporation, Harmonic Inc., Solta Medical Inc., Openwave Systems Inc., and Splash Technology Inc. He currently serves on the Board of Lumentum Holdings Inc. and is the chair of the audit committee.
Hal holds an MBA from Cleveland State University and a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Lake Erie College and is a Certified Public Accountant.
