About
Tom Cotney is Chief Executive Officer of Imagine Communications, a global leader in multiscreen video and ad management solutions that broadcasters, networks, video service providers and enterprises around the world rely on to support their mission-critical operations.
Tom has spent more than two decades of his 30-year career partnering with, selling to and competing in the telecommunications and mobile technology industries. His impressive resume includes serving as General Manager of the Communications Sector at IBM Global Services, where he was responsible for nearly 8,500 employees and more than $1.5 billion in annual revenue. He has served twice as Chairman of the annual IBM Employee Charitable Campaign for the United Way, raising more than $3.5 million for their various causes.
Before joining Imagine, Tom was CEO at cloud-based mobile messaging provider Mblox. Through a series of M&A transactions and operational consolidations, Tom was instrumental in restoring the company’s brand and profitability, and by 2015, it was ranked number two in the world. Mblox was acquired the following year by the number one-ranked company in the space, Stockholm-based CLX Communications.
Prior to his tenure with Mblox, Tom served as CEO and board member for a number of privately held companies, including Air2Web, a company founded in the Atlanta Technology Development Center by the Carlyle Group. There, Tom delivered a 100% return on equity invested by Carlyle after three years of operation in a sale to a buyer from the European Union in 2011.
Tom graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia, and has completed executive programs in Strategic Execution and Negotiation at the Harvard Business and Law schools respectively.

Andrew Freedman
About
Mr. Freedman is responsible for portfolio company financial oversight and controls as well as leading financial due diligence activities at The Gores Group. Prior to joining Gores, Mr. Freedman was CFO of The Learning Company, a Pre-GCP I portfolio company, where he helped lead a successful turnaround and sale of the company. Mr. Freedman held various financial management roles at The Learning Company, Broderbund and Mindscape from 1994 to 2002. From 1988 to 1994, Mr. Freedman held various financial management positions at Paramount Communications. Prior to 1988, Mr. Freedman spent four years in public accounting. Mr. Freedman serves on the Board of Directors of Norment, Scovill, Sage Automotive, Elo Touch Solutions, and formerly, Lineage/Vincotech.
Mr. Freedman earned a B.S. in Finance and Accounting from the State University of New York at Binghamton.

Steven Yager
About
As Senior Managing Director and President M&A at The Gores Group, Mr. Yager is a member of Gores' investment committee and is responsible for originating and structuring transactions, and overseeing portfolio company exits. Prior to joining Gores, Mr. Yager served as the President and CEO of Artemis International Solutions (a Pre-GCP I portfolio company) from 1997 to 2002. At Artemis, he led a turnaround and restructuring initiative and was responsible for the acquisition of Software Productivity Research, Inc. as well as the sale of Artemis to Proha Oyj, a publicly-traded Finnish software company. He was subsequently responsible for the reverse merger of Artemis into Opus360 and served as Chairman until 2005. Mr. Yager also served as CEO of Aonix, and was responsible for the restructuring of that company. From 1994 to 1996, Mr. Yager served as the Executive Vice President of Business Development for Medaphis Physician Services.
From 1985 to 1994, Mr. Yager worked at Executive Business Systems (Alec Gores' first company) and its acquiror, Contel Business Systems, as a General Manager. Prior to EBS, Mr. Yager worked at Burroughs from 1978 to 1985 in a variety of Sales and Marketing positions. Mr. Yager serves on the Board of Directors of Tiburon, Stock Building Supply, and Sage Automotive. Mr. Yager earned a B.A. in Business Administration and Economics from the University of Michigan.

Steve Reynolds

Steve Reynolds is President of Imagine Communications, a global leader in multiscreen video and ad management solutions that broadcasters, networks, video service providers and enterprises around the world rely on to support their mission-critical operations.
Steve brings more than 25 years of technology leadership in the cable industry to Imagine Communications. At Comcast, he served as Senior Vice President of Premises Technology, overseeing the strategy, roadmap and development of all technologies employed in service delivery to the customer premises. Prior to Comcast, Steve was Senior Vice President of Technology at OpenTV Incorporated, a world leader in digital and interactive television technology.
His cable industry experience also includes executive positions at ACTV Incorporated and Intellocity USA. Steve was a member of the technical team at TV Guide, leading development of the industry’s first interactive program guide for digital cable set-tops.
Steve earned a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from Widener University. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from West Chester University. Steve is a member of the SCTE and has participated in numerous standards-making bodies in the cable and digital video industries. He holds over two dozen patents relating to digital video, interactive television and digital devices.

Eddie Johnson
About
Mr. Johnson is a member of Gores' investment committee and is responsible for leading the execution and negotiation of Gores acquisitions and divestitures. Prior to joining Gores, Mr. Johnson was a Managing Director and Investment Committee member of DLJ Merchant Banking Partners III and IV, and DLJ Growth Capital Partners I. Prior to joining DLJ, Mr. Johnson worked for E.M Warburg Pincus & Co, LLC., The Boston Consulting Group, and Chevron Corporation. Mr. Johnson has a Bachelor of Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
