CASE STUDY
Full Throttle to IP: Indy Motor Sports Productions’ Fast-Track Transformation for NTT IndyCar Coverage
Recorded SVG Summit 20 2025
How IMS Productions fast-tracked ST 2110 for IndyCar coverage.
At the Indianapolis 500, there’s no margin for error.
In this SVG Summit 2025 case study, IMS Productions shares how they pivoted from SDI infrastructure to building five ST 2110 IP trucks under extreme time pressure ahead of the NTT IndyCar Series season open.
Rather than a full rebuild, the team focused investment on the core of the truck, creating headroom for new broadcast demands, a smaller footprint, and long-term scalability. The result: a live, proven IP system that delivered and scaled quickly.
“This is the first time I came across a product (SNP) that really did everything really well for us,” said Jason King, Sr. Director of Engineering at IMS Productions. “And it’s reliable, it’s consistent, it’s easy to program, but it can be just about anything we need it to be. That’s been tremendous.”

Award: NAB 2026 Project of the Year for Production
Thank you to IMS Productions and BeckTV for the collaboration and trust throughout.
Delivered under intense timelines, the project transformed five mobile production units into a fully IP-based environment, with 70 Selenio Network Processors replacing core routing, multiviewing, and processing infrastructure.
This created a unified, flexible platform capable of supporting high-performance live production, while continuing to evolve as new format and workflow requirements emerged.
